This is the program we built for you! We welcomed the challenge of doing it remotely and bet heavily on the largest national speech therapy congress ever held, with a program of diverse, comprehensive, current themes, focused on the present and the future.

We started on September 22nd with 7 fantastic workshops.

There follow three and a half intense days, from 23 to 26 September 2021, around the main areas of clinical practice of speech therapy, disseminating and updating knowledge, in a format of conferences, round tables and free communications, without ever neglecting a fundamental time for debate open to all participants. We will also have posters and visits to the stands, our partners, with surprises at certain times.

We opened with an inaugural conference with the former European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, Engineer Carlos Moedas, who will speak to us about the fundamental role of Innovation in the service of health and education and its professionals.

We have the presence of 10 international guests who join a national panel of excellence: Dr. Adriá Rofes, Prof. Dr. Dimitri Kanevsky, Prof. Dr. James Law, Prof. Dr. Leny Kyrillos, Prof. Dr. Leonardo Wanderley Lopes, Prof. Dra. Mariana Saconato, Prof. Dr. Sheila Tamanini de Almeida, Prof. Dr. Sheridan Forster, Prof. Dr. Soo-Eun Chang and Prof. Dr. Yvonne Wren, who will share their experiences and knowledge, with an important contribution to this Congress.

And because science also has affections, on September 23 we will have the tribute to Therapist Suzete Carmona Dias, President of honor of this Congress, and on September 24 the delivery of the Merit Award 2017-2020. Now and more than ever, we must be united as a professional class. We wait for you to celebrate all the achievements. It is in this scientific and festive atmosphere that this II International Congress of the Portuguese Society of Speech Therapy will take place.
